Prof. Jose Antonio Marmolejo  is a Professor at Panamerican University, Mexico. His research is on operations research, large-scale optimization techniques, computational techniques and analytical methods for planning, operations, and control of electric energy and logistic systems.  He is particularly interested in topics related to artificial intelligence, digital twins, the Internet of things and Industry 4.0. Currently, Prof. Marmolejo, together with his graduate students, leads the laboratory for the development of digital twins in companies and businesses. He received his Ph. D in Operations Research (Hons) at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. At present, he has the second-highest country-wide distinction granted by the Mexican National System of Research Scientists for scientific merit (SNI Fellow, Level 2). He is a member of the Network for Decision Support and Intelligent Optimization of Complex and Large Scale Systems and Mexican Society for Operations Research. He has co-authored research articles in science citation index journals, conference proceedings, presentations, books, and book chapters.

Di Bernardi, VESS Nov 13Prof. Alejandro DiBernardi Alejandro DiBernardi is a specialist in airport planning, operations, and management with extensive international experience. He has directed and co-directed research and technical assistance projects at over 200 aerodromes, airports, heliports, and vertiports across Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. In Argentina, he led 40 airport master plans and contributed to the Federal Strategic Transportation Plan as well as Peru’s National Civil Aviation Strategic Plan. His expertise also includes operational safety assessments, sustainable air transport, airport certification, and regulatory development. He is co-author of publications on airports, air transport, and engines, and has supervised numerous undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral theses. He serves as Latin American representative of the Master in Aeronautical Systems Management (UPM, Spain), guest lecturer, and recurring instructor for ICAO/Aena/AECID seminars. As an ICAO expert on airports (TCP & CDI), he has also advised the Central American Aviation Training Institute (ICCAE-COCESNA), where he designed three airport-focused diploma programs. He is a board member of RIDITA and co-founder of the International Group on Aviation and Multimodal Transport Research (IGAMT, Amsterdam).

With teaching and speaking engagements at over 60 institutions and universities worldwide, his career bridges technical expertise, academic leadership, and international collaboration, positioning him as a recognized authority in civil aviation and airport management.
