Dr. Miquel Angel Piera is a full-time Professor and senior researcher at the Logistics and Aeronautics Unit of the Autonomous University of Barcelona in Spain. He had been the director of the Aeronautical Management degree at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He holds a Ph.D. in informatics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and an MSc. in Control Engineering at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. He is the former coordinator of the Spanish Modeling and Simulation group of CEA-IFAC. In the last 15 years, he funded 3 spin-off companies in the area of modeling, simulation, and decision-making, leading several industrial and technology transfer projects. Dr. Piera has published 6 books and more than 150 scientific papers and is co-author of 1 European Patent. He has participated in several international projects for industry and research projects funded by the European Commission, in the area of Logistics, Intelligent Transport Systems and Air Traffic Management.

Dr. Sc. Bogusz Wiśnicki – since 1993 employed by the Maritime Academy in Szczecin, presently as the Assistant Professor at the Department of Maritime Economy and Transport Systems. In the years 2012-2016, he served as the Vice-Dean of the Transport Economics and Engineering Faculty. His career relates to the maritime industry, i.a. worked for the Polish and foreign shipowners and was employed in port companies. Since 2018 he has been employed as an external expert by the Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority. Bogusz Wiśnicki is the author of over 130 scientific publications, numerous scientific studies commissioned, and he made several foreign internships. His main research area is maritime and intermodal transport systems with emphasis on new technologies implementation. He actively participated in international research and development projects financed by European and Polish funds. He is an expert in the carriage of dangerous goods by inland waterway (ADN) and a legal expert in the field of containerisation systems.

Angel Orozco Turrubiates with 25 years of experience in aircraft and airport operations, is currently the Security Program Manager at Mexico City International Airport (AICM). He develops corporate plans and programs to ensure compliance with international aviation security regulations, focusing on civil aviation security, contingencies, and emergencies. His expertise includes the IATA Safety Audit Program (IOSA), Air Operator Certification, risk analysis, fleet planning, PBN Navigation, and regulatory improvement. Angel has worked with prominent organizations like Transportes Aeromar, Mexicana de Aviación, and Aeromexico, and holds certifications from the FAA and ICAO. He has a degree in Aeronautical Engineering, specialized training in Economic Sciences and Aerodrome Engineering, and teaches aviation subjects at Universidad Regional del Norte (URN).

Miguel Mujica Mota Dr. Mujica Mota is an associate Professor at the Aviation Academy of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands and the Scientific director for Europe of the International Group on Aviation and Multimodal Transport (www.igamt.eu). He holds a PhD in informatics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a PhD in operations research from the National University of Mexico. He is the former president of EUROSIM (www.eurosim.info) the Federation of Simulation Societies in Europe and the Chair of the Dutch Benelux Simulation Society (www.DutchBSS.org),. He is the co-author of four books and has published more than one hundred scientific papers and general-public-oriented ones.

He has participated in several international projects for industry and academia funded privately and by public offices like European Commission or World Bank. He also does aviation-related consultancy worldwide. Dr. Mujica Mota has given training in aviation modelling, simulation, and optimization in different countries for industrial and academic audiences. He has published studies on operational aspect of airports like emissions, efficiency, and capacity.

Aldo cuenta con amplia experiencia en el sector público donde ha ocupado diversos cargos directivos. En el Instituto Nacional de Salud Pública participó en la evaluación de impacto del programa Oportunidades; en la Secretaría del Trabajo y Previsión Social fue asesor de tres Secretarios de Estado, formando parte del equipo que presentó la Reforma Laboral aprobada en 2012; posteriormente en la Secretaría de Desarrollo Social, fue encargado del seguimiento y monitoreo de PROSPERA Programa de Inclusión Social, que atendía a más de 7 millones de familias.

Fungió como Director General Adjunto de Infraestructura Estratégica y Director General de Planeación en la Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público dentro de la Autoridad Federal para el Desarrollo de las Zonas Económicas Especiales. Actualmente es el Coordinador General de Planeación y Diseño de Estrategias para el Desarrollo en el Corredor Interoceánico del Istmo de Tehuantepec, encargado de la definición y establecimiento de los Polos de Desarrollo para el Bienestar a lo largo del Istmo de Tehuantepec.

Estudió la Licenciatura y Maestría en Economía por el Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). También tiene una especialidad en Política y Gestión del Desarrollo Social por la Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales (FLACSO), y un Diplomado en Evaluación Socioeconómica de Proyectos de Inversión impartido por el Instituto Politécnico Nacional.

Aldo has extensive experience in the public sector, having held various management positions. At the National Institute of Public Health, he participated in the impact evaluation of the Oportunidades program. In the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, he served as an advisor to three Secretaries of State, contributing to the presentation of the Labor Reform approved in 2012. Later, at the Ministry of Social Development, he oversaw the monitoring and evaluation of the PROSPERA Social Inclusion Program, which benefited more than 7 million families.

Aldo also served as Deputy General Director of Strategic Infrastructure and General Director of Planning in the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, within the Federal Authority for the Development of Special Economic Zones. Currently, he is the General Coordinator of Planning and Design of Development Strategies in the Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec. In this role, he is responsible for defining and establishing Development Poles for Well-being along the Isthmus of Tehuantepec.

Aldo holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Economics from the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM). He also has a specialization in Policy and Management of Social Development from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO) and a Diploma in Socioeconomic Evaluation of Investment Projects from the National Polytechnic Institute.
